About
Built in Texas. Owned by veterans. Licensed to do every part of it.
Aguasol Energy was founded in 2023 by Juan Menchaca — a U.S. Army Engineer Captain (retired) and second-time solar founder. We're an EPC, not a sales channel, not a broker. The crew on your project is on our payroll.
Origin
A second-time founder, a veteran-led team, and a clearer thesis.
After 20 years in the Army, Juan transitioned to renewable energy in 2014. He worked with SolarCity / Tesla and co-founded Sonovus Energy, where the team installed over 35 MW of residential and commercial solar across 3,000+ projects.
Aguasol was founded with a sharper thesis: Texas needs an EPC that thinks beyond panels. Energy, water, and compute are now interlocked. The companies that win are the ones that can deliver all three on the same site, behind the meter, on a single contract.

What we believe
Three commitments, written down.
01
Single accountable contract
One licensed EPC for solar, storage, water, EV, and modular compute. Integration risk shouldn't be the customer's problem.
02
Texas-native execution
The crew on your project is on Aguasol's payroll, not a subcontractor's. Headquarters in Fort Worth. Service territory in Texas.
03
Real numbers, plain language
We model real interval data, real shading, real tariffs. We tell you the true payback before you sign.
Veteran-owned
The discipline of an operations order. The pace of a startup.
Every project gets a written ops order: scope, milestones, risks, decision points, contingency triggers. Every quarter we run an after-action review across active projects. It's not how most EPCs operate. It's how we operate.
